This mintmark under the scope looks like it was hammered in copper foil. It simply looks unnatural.
What a pain to get the lighting just right to photograph. Some times it's pure luck.

The photo below shows some points, but the more bizarre issue is the very middle if the "S".
Under the scope, I can clearly see two distinct middle parts of the "S", one being directly under the other.

This last shot required three lights with diffused lighting just to create enough shadows to show some inconsistencies
on each of the "S's" that are on this coin. It looks even wilder under the scope.
