2022 D Washington quarter with major doubling behind the ear.

I have looked at quite a few of these and this 2022 D Washington quarter is the only one that I have found. It shows to have some major doubling behind the ear. The last pic is that of a normal coin. 2BA76429-40BB-4E76-B494-323AB708F49E.jpeg

It might be as simple as die chips.
What ever it may be, it is far from major, in my opinion.

Thanks for the input. I’ve been doing this for a while and while die chips might be a possibility they are too rounded in shape. As far as MD, there are two types, this falls in neither category.

I believe it has good potential, as both extra aspects seem to correlate with the design on left, and they're in the target area.

Thank you Shane, it’s not in an area where a clash occurred, it is definitely not PSD. It is large enough not to have magnification to see it.
