CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

    Ummm the photo is blurry.
You don't give us the year and mint to determine if this could be a double die reverse.

You can visit several sites to determine if a Lincoln cent is a doubled die obverse (ddo) or doubled die reverse (ddr).

Additionally, I have a few articles on my website. One is below in my signature.
    Here is another.

I apologize Mr Gary. The coin is a 1983 no mint mark. Do these pictures suffice? Thanks for your time

It works best if the owner does some leg work as well. Typically a doubled die has one image slight shifted over another. It should show more than one split serif.

For 1983, there are two Doubled die reverses. Since you have the coin in hand I suggest you try to match up the coin to one of the examples on line. Remember, Doubled dies are made of metal, and the doubling does not move from coin to coin. What the attributer sees and the photos show, your coin should match up to the photos very close.

Coppercoins have only two doubled die reverses (DDRs)... they are on page 2, at the bottom.
