There aren't any photos so it will be just a guess...we need photos to truly help.
Possibilities are:
Die maintenance. They over zealously scrubbed the dies when cleaning.
Mechanical or machine damage.
Grease, or debris.
Die wear. These dies strike hundreds of thousands of coins. They do wear out.Last edited by MintErrors; 11-06-2022, 01:28 AM.Gary Kozera

Where did you send these photos to?
Were they in the attribution section of this forum or some where else?
You can post here in the appropriate forum. Photos need to be less than 2mb each.
The upload blue button is to the bottom left below the area you type in.
If it is not there... look to the top right. There is a camera icon, click on that and the button should appear.
If you wanted to cut to the chase, and get a CONECA attributer to look at the photos....
Then you go to this main forum page.
At the top left of this page, click FORUMS
Find the CONECA SERVICES forum..
Go into the ATRRIBUTIONS area and create a post in there.
Put as much information as you can.
Make sure your photos are clear, no blurry photos.
crop the photo. Show more coin than background.
I suggest a full photo of the obverse and reverse. Then a photo of each affected areas.
This way it may only take one message from the CONECA staff in order to give you an answer. It may take a while for them to come around againGary Kozera

hello hope all is good thanks for the reply mint errors Mr. Kozera I'm new and obviously ignorant of the submitting procedure. My friend and I e-mailed the photos to james@conecaonline.org I noted in the description the areas to focus on and was told by my friend that those receiving the photos, which were quite detailed, would be able to enhance them for inspection. I will go to the services forum and resubmit as necessary as i forgot about the possible DDO. thankyou sincerely, madmac.
