There is an unusual line behind Mr. Washingtons ear lobe on this coin. I was initially thinking this could be a clash but don't see anything on the back of the coin that lines up. Thoughts from the group?

Is it raised on the coin? If so it could simply be a die gouge or overzealous maintenance on the die.
There seems to be some additional lines running northwest to southeast just above that line.

Yes, the material seems to be raised. One big line going back from the ear lobe and one smaller line going down from the bottom of the ear lobe. Kind of looks like some type of earing.
So do we think its accurate to label these 2 marks as die gouges? I'm also labeling it in my book as the George Washington 2022 earing variety...
