1955 S Wheat Penny Never Seen One Like This

I know that the 50's are known for BIE errors but I have never come across one that has so much going on. The date, ear, Liberty, WE on obverse. Wheat stalks, and a few of the letters on reverse. Looking forward to some feedback and information

I'm seeing die chips on the date and wear on everything else.

The 1950s and 60s suffered from die issues withe the date and LIBERTY.
They are basically die chips, basically in areas of the die which are some of the deepest on the
die. What is sunk into the die is raised on the coin. Those are pretty common.

Overall the coin suffers from die deterioration, a condition where the dies have struck so many coins, it's just loose and starting to show signs of failure. It is circulated, and that can add to the confusion of determining what is going on.

Two areas that seem to be issues on reverse Lincoln dies are the top left below E PLURIBUS and the bottom center near AMERICA. In my opinion, it could be that some sort of debris could have interfered with the strike, like grease or copper chips from striking hundreds of thousands of coins, but again, this is pretty common when it is pretty minor.

Die cracks on Lincolns head is an area it happens a lot. Unless the die cracks are very dramatic, those too are pretty common. Even the example below, it might fetch a good cup of coffee if some one really wanted it. But again, it's pretty common.

CONECA forum rules frown on talking prices and values, but I will say that your coin is a pretty commonly seen item and I did not see anything that would give it additional value.

What is the picture a reference of? I actually found a 1945 (bottom right) identical to that one a couple days ago

As for a year again, I mentioned the commonly seen years. Some seen from 1940s to 1970s.
