CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

1943 D - Class 4 DDO - Not listed on public listings

    1943 D - Class 4 DDO - Not listed on public listings

    I have about 40 Class 4 ddos that arent on any public listings.
    Heres one of my favorites, hope yall enjoy it as much as I do.

    In my opinion, it looks like...

    ODV-015 (Full trench around head

    The trenching appeared on coins from 1935 to 1952.

      Absolutely, Fairly familiar with it. Im referring to the extra eyelids -Class 4 ddo

        I seen something there. The area is quite busy, there is something north of the eye as well as south.
        I personally am not a fan of the eyelid DDOs. In my opinion the area of doubling is soooo minute percentage wise. This one almost looks like a mint worker got a weeee bit zealous on doing maintenance in that area. Hopefully others who study this will chime in here.

          I understand. These are my favorite kind of ddos.
          2nd in line would be Class 6 doubling.
          I was never a huge fan of the most popular big FS varieties. Although, they are nice.
          Edit* I know about the FS Class 6 varieties lol

            i ask if you post anywhere else as i'd love to see if you've shared some more of this reclusive stash of unknown ddos/ddr/rpm or whatever you have.

              I don't post on any other forums. I post quite a bit in a few Facebook groups though.

              I appreciate it, Ray at macrocoins does quite the job on specific setups based on what type of imsges you want to produce. 10/10 Recommend if you have the extra Cash.

              I dont really post these though, i suppose i could.
