1966 penny could this be a new variety?
I was going thru 1966 unopened bank rolls 1966 pennys and found 5 of these. I found a lot of die clash errors. then i found these. Trying to send photos of the obverse and reverse but its being stupid. these photos are of all five coins i found. again they are uncirculated bank rolls I went thru 3 rolls and found these. could this be a variety for the 66?? i will send all 5 to be looked at if deemned worthy. You do not have permission to view this gallery.

Thank you Pete. I don’t know what’s going on with the top edge of the memorial either or what would cause this. I went back through the remainder of the three rolls and didn’t find any other ones. All I know is I found five of these with this. If I found five there has to be more. But like I said in the post these are from three uncirculated rolls. One of these have doubling under the chin. A couple of them have doubling along the front of the face of Lincoln. So I don’t know if this could potentially be something for all of us to look out for. Will be sending these out to J Wexler for authentication and basically answers to the question at hand within the next week I will send him all five coins and let him look at them.Last edited by Daniel72; 02-16-2023, 10:49 PM.

Daniel,
Just saw this on Wexler. Similar chips appear in the 1959D in about this spot.

okay your coins have a die marker for the WDDO-011 which has two extra eyelids. Do your coins have the extra eyelids? or the other die markers for the DDO? Because you can still have the die chip marker on the reverse and no DDO on the obverse. Be really cool if you have the DDO. Please post picture of obverse, eyelid, the date and united of the reverse.
