CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

  • 1937D RPM 001 Mercury dime?

Do you think the mint mark position and D/D match 1937D RPM001 die stage C? The coin does not have a die crack on the front wing to rim. 1937 D Mercury D over D.png

Thank you for showing me the comparison. I was uncertain about the mint mark position compared to the leaf due to the difference in size of the images. I do see that the mark on my coin extends much further to the front of the mint mark compared to the master sample. This coin was close but not close enough. Thanks again!

no prob and you're welcome. i must've done thousands of image comps over the years. one of the greatest tools imo, especially once a person gets good at the shortcut keys copy/paste etc. i do most in basic ms paint. occasionally gotta use paint.net to rotate images.
