1946 S WALKING LIBERTY HALF DOLLAR POSSIBLE DDR-001 or WDDR-001
Hello CONECA, I am looking at an interesting 1946S Walking Liberty Half Dollar. I originally purchased the subject coin in a PCGS genuine details holder. I conserved the coin and removed residue that was evident on the surface of the coin. The coin is now blast white. I resubmitted the coin to PCGS and got it back as a MS65. I thought it was a terrific deal. Now that I have taken a good look at the subject coin it appears to be a DDR-001 and/or WDDR-001. The subject coin has strong extra thickness on 'UNITED STATES OF AMERICA', 'HALF DOLLAR', dots (very evident), 'E PLURIBUS UNUM', and the cactus consistent with DDR-001 and WDDR-001. The subject coin's mint mark is also a MMS-006 "Ball Serif". There are no noted die markers for DDR-001. The following die markers are present on the subject coin: Obverse: NE/SW die scratches on both sides and inside the 6 in the date. Reverse: Die scratch SE from the right center of the R in AMERICA to the I consistent with WDDR-001. Thoughts or comments?Last edited by rbroederer; 05-05-2023, 12:16 AM.Tags: None

i'd say it does look like it with some secondary pups for confirmation. look at the M in america, CA, pluribus, mintmark and compare to your coin. it should be a lock.
