The best way to approach this with the CONECA staff is....
Go to the top left of this page, click FORUMS.
Find the CONECA services forum
Go to the ATTRIBUTIONS forum.
Create a post under the attributions forum.
Add as much text about what you see and give full obverse and reverse photos that are not blurry or fuzzy. Add as many photos that show the affected areas.
It is best to load up that first post... as it may take some time for the attributor to circle back to the post multiple times.
In my opinion, even if it might be something, it may be too minor for them to list.
How I approach these varieties and errors is simple. If I think I cannot show clearly and describe the error/variety with confidence, then it is likely not to sell. It helps me thin out things, and focus on the more dramatic varieties and errors.
Error collectors are a rare breed. In my opinion, they are either a loupe user or a microscope user. If they use a scope, they do not seemto mind slightly less than dramatic errors, because they can zoom in and see more. The average collector or investor might be on the fence about acoin like this, mainly due to it being very slight and not previously documented.
In order for it to be listed with CONECA, varieties need to show some separation. I am a little biased when it comes to thickness doubling because that is very subjective...Gary Kozera

Hi MintErrors. I really appreciate that you have steered me in the right direction with the staff. I see now that collectors are either loupe users or microscope users. I mainly use the loupe when searching and if I find something I will try to look through an Amscope 20x-40x-80x for notching which is new to me. The problem with the scope is that the camera doesn't take a 20x photo, only 40x and 80x and the photo only captures part of the number or letter. I have not used it much because of that and resorted back to the iphone with lens attachments. Uploading from the phone after cropping is flipping the pictures sideways when posting from mobile and I think I will post from the desktop. I would much rather see notching and separation lines than just extra thickness, but I kinda like when the Zeros and O's get stretched and distorted. I am learning that only 8 photos are allowed and I am not sure how they ended up in the body of the post. It must have to do with uploading from mobile. Again Gary, Thanks for the time you have spent putting together minterror.org, a great reference site and stopping by here to comment. Enjoy the rest of the week!

Thanks.
The website will get some TLC soon, i am waiting on a particular piece to move forward, once that arrives, I will be able to do so.
As for the AMSCOPE microscope, most allow you to twist the lens between. 2x and 4x to get a lower magnification. I don't understand why yours won't let you go lower.Gary Kozera

You can also reply to your ownpost and add more photos.
I liked the old version of adding photos here, when you could upload them, choose a size and click a spot to insert them. Eh, some times change is good. My future posts may be written on my website and I will provide a link here for people to comment. Saves me from writing twice.Gary Kozera
