1943-S Penny
This is the coin that started me in saving coins back in 1950. I have kept is sealed in a glass vile until today. I believe it is an RPM S/S south similar to RPM-007 however this coin does not have the die markings listed. It may be an EDS but that is beyond me. In addition to the RPM, it has an extra eyelid east of the primary. Suggestions are appreciated.

it looks like die erosion to me. certainly didn't hurt to keep it a while and wait to get some opinions tho.coinfacts.com - conecaonline.info - board.conecaonline.org/forum/numismatic-site-links - briansvarietycoins.com - coppercoins.com - cuds-on-coins.com - doubleddie.com - error-ref.com - franklinlover.yolasite.com - ikegroup.info -lincolncentresource.com - maddieclashes.com - money.org - ngccoin.com/price-guide/world - ngccoin.com/census - ngccoin.com/resources/counterfeit-detection - nnp.wustl.edu - pcgs.com/pop - pcgs.com/coinfacts - pcgs.com/photograde - varietyvista.com - vamworld.com

In my opinion, at that magnification, if I cannot see something clear as an RPM, then it is either way too minor, or it is not an RPM. Attributors tend to use 10x to determine if a coin is an RPM. Steel cents were not kind to the working dies that made them. OCC is probably right, it is some form of issue that is worthless doubling, die age or a combo of several things.Gary Kozera

As requested here are some additional shots of the MM, eye, and Liberty. Sorry the first photos were not very clear. I used the techniques suggested and it helps a lot. In the process, I noticed possible DD in Liberty and as you will note I added arrows indicating my question areas. For some reason the close-up of the eye was turned upside down during transmission.

In my opinion, again, it's not enough for me to call it an RPM. That's my opinion. Even IF was an RPM, it looks too minor to list since the magnification is way above 10x power.
The magnification also applies to the rest of the photos, it's just not enough there.Gary Kozera
