CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

1940 S Quarter with extra leaf
OK I am still learning the setting here so hope I have it right.
Here goes, I have been collecting errors for about 50 years. I have
published several books about error coins or coins I consider errors, oddity, etc.
here I have added a photo of a 1940 S Quarter with an extra leaf, have looked for
others but haven't found one, am wondering if other collectors have come across
    others like this one?

Greetings, just so we are on the same page, if not on the same "Leaf" will this be the Leaf just above the "R" and then the suspect Leaf is just to the left above the "A"? Now I usually like to hear back first before commenting, but it reminds me clearly of an OP that had a Roosevelt dine with what appeared as another leaf joined next to an actual leaf in the design. Now the debate and examination from pics ran on for 31 lines in a post without a hard conclusion other than environmental staining from some foreign material that etched its smudge shape on the surface of the coin.
Sometimes the easier answer ends up being the correct one. Well not to confuse this post, THE NEXT TWO PHOTOS ARE OF THAT 2021-D DIME ONLY!!

sorry for the late reply, I had given up on this forum. The extra leaf is to the right of the log the eagle is seated and and just under the wing, so if you were to keep moving upward, to the log and the feet - now look to the right, normally there are three leaves there at the wing, I have a fourth , it has been graded now by 5 agencies and found to be genuine, new variety, thought caused by a clash at first, this appears to be one of a kind. I would like to add it here as i am a member not sure how, not sure howto even contact anyone

What you can do is go to the top left of this page. From there, look for CONECA SERVICES forum.
Under the Coneca Services forum find the EXAMINATIONS forum. Go into that forum and put a post about this coin. Add as much data as you can, photos, the best description you can. O e of the CONECA examiners should look at the photos and information and let you know what they think about the coin.

At any time you feel you are not getting the service you deserve, you can contact the admi instructor of the website, which is also the President of CONECA. His nickname is Jamez . He can be found in the directory as well. You can click on his black talk looking icon will send him a private message.

1940 S quarter does have two doubled dies which can be found here :
