CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

    machine doubling.

none lilsted on V V, so the odds of finding something older like this as a discovery, is probably up there with getting struck by lighting odds. it does happen to someone but boy is it rare.to find a new one with strong doubling like this, probably the odds of getting struck by rainbow lighting.hope it puts into perspective what some of you are trying to do.

Classic worthless doubling. Lower and shelf like. I suggest visiting varietyvista.com, doubleddie.com and coppercoins.com to see if one is a very close match. If none are listed, it's a good hint that it's probably something else.

          would you still recommend L.C.R.?

i don't keep up to date enough for all the good sites so i had to ask.

i know chris d. has been working on c.c. for a long time so i have no reason to think it still isn't being updated. and is also quit the artist, iirc.

Lcr is just one additional site. I use the ones I listed because they cross reference well. I can identify the variety when I use them on a fairly high percentage rate. Coppercoins allow you to click o. The die stage li KS and see several photos and PUPs so one can attribute the coins.

To me, prices are not accurate, but the documentation on the coins are.
If it isn't updated I particulary do not mind, since I collect stuff from before 1996.
