CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. thanks for the images and they are close to being pretty good but i think i speak for everyone in saying they aren't good enough so that it isn't difficult to ascertain anything from them that is useful. at least w/o some post-processing work.

try doing close-ups of certain areas. just posting a coin and asking if there is anything there really isn't how this works.

hey Me@coin$, welcome back . I am on my tablet, and I can typically zoom in close on the photos to determine what is going on. In this case, the photos are fine for full obverse and reverse shots, but honestly, I can't see much in respect to any variety, markers or pups.

1958 from Philadelphia has but one DDO on variety vista.

      coppercoins has just one.

Good morning Gary & Occnumis2021! Hope all is well and as always, thank you for your continued support and feedback as I learn through the growing pains. No pain, no gain!

My photography “setup” is still a, painfully time consuming and frustrating, “work in progress”…. Please bare with me as I am doing the best with what I can, until I am able to upgrade my setup.

Attached are clearer (fingers crossed) and closer pictures of 1c 1958 in question.

          TIA!

          Best,

I would be one of the first to raise my hand and say.... been there done that. Lighting and photography can be a frustrating combo. I have multiple types of white cloth and even a slight flutter of the fabric can alter the lighting enough to make a big difference. It's an art. Three lights and a 16 megapixel microscope camera and sure, there are still some frustrating times. Most of the time I am photographing coins, it's a pretty relaxing hobby.

As for this coin, the photos are better. Thanks for them. 1958 did not produce many types of Doubled dies. I posted links for the websites above.

On your coin, In my opinion, I do not see enough there to call it a doubled die. Of course what you see with a naked eye or under the scope, will be totally different than what I see in the photos.

The best advice I can give right now is to offer a post I did on the 1972 doubled dies. If you look closely at IGWT in the post, you should see that classic doubled die look, cookie cutter style lines.

            https://minterrors.org/index.php/197...-doubled-dies/

I hope you find some bell ringer coins soon. You deserve it.
