1959-D Trail Die for BJ's archive if I ID'ed correctly

    BJ,

For your keen interest in this type, same gesture as Larry's...

    - Here's the oldest in my collected group. Hope I ID'ed it correctly.
If not, will show you another one.
    - Will be on registered mail Tuesday.

Sorry J, I do not see the trails on your 1959 Lincoln cent. The slightly exaggerated serifs on the EPU are normal for this year.

      Thanks BJ.

I now know the distinctions. And I'm sure I'll stumble on one on my stacks of
old cents soon. Will just send to you so you can explore and further propagate interest among us of this new variety.

You, along with the other experts in this forum have squeezed-in a lot of knowledge into my head on this field, making it more interesting for me.

      Back to my diggings...... J

Novicetoerr - Recieved the two coins that you sent yesterday and after examining them both, I found no evidence of "trails", RPMS or OMMs.

The somewhat elongated left upper serifs on EPU are not trails but actually part of the design and intended to be that way. No other design element on the reverse shows any distortion or trail lines.
