1971 Kennedy Halves Off Center Die Clash?

    Good morning,
I have been researching your articles, would these be considered as "off center die clashes"? I didn't actually realize the difference in the rims until I laid them all out to take one last look at them before putting them in my container to re-roll and take back to the bank. Your help would be most appreciated, thnank you

In my opinion, it is too minor to matter.

But let me attempt to give some info.

An off center, will have some of the design missing on both the obverse and reverse.

A mis-aligned die will more than likely have just one side which may be misding some of the design.

A broadstrike will show all of the design, but the coin may be significantly larger than normal.

An article about off centered coins :

One last check you may want to perform is look at the reeding side to see if you can find any that are all silver. Then check the weight. Watch out for plated Kennedys or the Kennedys that were 40% silver 1965 to 1970. The weight will tell whether it's truly a 100% silver planchet, along with diagnostic testing.

      Hi Gary,
I appreciate it. I looked at the reeding side for silver because I heard some did have such but no luck and checked the weight: 11.4. So in essense, it would be considered more of a minor mis-alignment?
I was just curious when I noticed it and wanted to see if I was on the right track with my thought process/research. Have a wonderful day
