CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

  • 1974 D Lincoln with split serifs at the bottom of the dates and LIB

Haven't been on here in many moons, but just started cataloging my collection and this is what I stumbled upon. 1974 D Lincoln with split serifs at the bottom of the dates and LIB. Also may have die fill lines on REV in EPU and USA. I've had this coin for a while, but just noticed here recently. Very nice coin. Love the toner Lincolns! Just wanted to share. Enjoy the hunt!

I recommend looking at the designer initials and the bottom right hand side of the building. The tell tale doubled dies typically show notching on the very far right side of the building, just below the columns. Its those three different heights that typically show a DDR potential.

I personally don't know if there were any DDO/DDR combo's in 1974-D. Variety vista might list one if it was found, and if it wasnt considered too minor.

    happy hunting

Hello Mint Errors. I checked VV and DD, but no combo. If it is, your probably right about being to minor. Thanks.
