1958 Jefferson nickel strike error?

Hey everyone, new here and excited to be part of the community. Can someone help me figure out what is going on with Jefferson’s eye? Also there’s some stuff in his cheek, collar, and shoulder area could it be a clash or something like that? Thanks!IMG_0346.jpegIMG_0347.jpeg

image has too much micro blur for my eyes to offer a precise opinion.

were you holding the camera? if so, need to get it stationary although i do like the angle shot but it is also a bit too bright.

By best guess with the images provided is a slightly broad strike as it looks like a lot of orange peel going on.
orange peeling for those not familiar with the term is where the medal looks like the skin of an orange.... due to the heat, pressure of the strike outside the collar. Does the specimen in question measure up to another nickel in diameter?

do you think occam's razor applies here? just normal die fatigue which the series is known for? (good to get people thinking of bigger/broader ideas though)

In my opinion, it's very minor whatever it is. The cheek bone area is raised a bit more than usual. It might just be an area that had a small amount of debris in the deepest part of the working die that affected the strike.

Thank you... it's very hard at times making a call from a posted image. And some coins are just bears to image to get anything near in hand look. I hate shooting proof anything!

I have a specimen that I purchased on an image and believe that if my hunch is correct ...my xmas present is going to be a discovery coin!
my fingers crossed as I have hunted these for many years.... and will even take credit for get a few others hooked...on the hunt.
I don't want to jinks myself ..so mum the word...however if I'm correct... it will be anounced here first.
