CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. Hi COINSAREFUN - It does appear to be the 1967, DDO-002 from the pictures that you posted, however, a definite attribution to confirm exactly what it is should be done with coin in hand.

There should also be strong doubling on LIBERTY with some doubling on the date as well.

With a coin of this value, it is always a safe bet to have it attributed by an expert, in this case CONECA's attributer Dr. James Wiles is a great choice. After that, you can make the decision to have it encapsulated or not.

    Hope that this helps.

From what I can see in the photos, your coin does not have the strike doubling over the motto; which is pretty common on this particular variety. That makes it a much more sought after coin! Nice pick!
