    1997 D Lincoln Cent Type 2 Error ?

About 2 years ago I bought sealed mint sewn bag of 1977 D Lincoln pennies. I went through the bag looking for any kind errors etc but had no such luck.

I kept some the best looking “species”’ and place them in a sealed plastic bag and forgot about them. Then tonight I was going through them and I am almost certain the several of these coins are TYPE 2 Errors!

Can someone please advise me where to compare pictures of what would be considered a Type 2 error?

Hi Legaltenderus and welcome to the CONECA forum.

First, we have to establish if the date is 1997 or 1977 since you do mention both in your post.

Second, I am not to sure what you mean by type two error. What is your reference to this error type.

Hopefully, with you providing the answer to those questions, we may be able to help you.
