1929 S Lincoln Cent N/S Die Crack, Doubling?
Hi Ive had this 1929 S Lincoln Cent for a While now hoping I could find another one so that I could find out what kind of error it is if any , Is this some kind of Die Cracks on the Letters? I don't think it's any kind of Doubling but I just don't know. Thank you for you time and Help. KimTags: None

In my opinion, to me it looks like die deterioration.
Older dies simply are not as sharp pristine as the new ones.
When the coin is being made with an older die, conditions can be introduced to minutely adjust the die where metal flow will escape the devices ( letters, numbers, items raised on the coin).
here is a link to a few known 1929 ddo's

Thank you so much for your help. This is where it confuses me because I thought that would be considered a die crack? How can I be able to tell the difference between the two? Im going to check out the links you left right now. I have lots of books on coins but it is still very confusing because a lot of the errors and non errors look so much alike. Thank you. again for your time and help I do appreciate it. KIm
