CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    Hello my name is Ronald Gores and I think I found a doubled die obverse on a 2008 Lincoln Cent I hope. Here are some photos

    Varietyvista.com does not have any documented examples for 2008, 2008-D nor 2008-S

    The doubled die on ears - which I personally am not a fan of - is typically doubling of the ear lobe, south of the main ear lobe. There doesn't appear to be anything on this coin that I consider a doubled die. Although these photos are almost acceptable, they are grainy and at a pretty high magnification.


    Although this is NOT a 2008 - it shows a great example of what a doubled earlobe looks like.
