CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

  • 1970s proof ddo

I bought an old proof set that had some cool toning on several coins. Didn't realize I had this until I looked past the toning. Would like help figuring out if this is the real deal. Thanks to all. I'm a paid member newbie just starting a hobby.

Trying to get better pictures of this 1970 pr ddo. I've realized this is a match to the 1970 pr wddo-034 found and authenticated by Wexler. Looking past the wild machine doubling, I can see through a loupe mine shows close ccw spread on igwt. My camera phone can't zoom in that clear though.

I am just another novice like yourself but I am guessing machine doubling based on the best image you have which is the WE in IGWT.
