CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    1990's Quarters

    IMG_0159.jpgI am a 70 year old and new to Concea and the forum and to coin collecting.
    I have been going through rolls of Quarters and have come across some 1994 & 96's
    My Question. Is most of the Doubling on the Obverse especially on IGWT true DD or Worthless Doubling?
    I have yet to try posting a picture due to inexperience.

      This is a drawing that was given to me a long time ago, and I use it to help people understand machine doubling.
      Hopefully it is big enough, if it is not, you may be able to save it to your computer and open it up, or make it bigger on your screen.

      Your photo is pretty good, but the lighting is uneven.
      I have taken photographs of hundreds if not thousands of photos, and the Number One pain in the..... Hobby is correct lighting.

      I will share a site with you, which many member of CONECA use. It lists alot of CONECA varieties and has photos for most to compare.

      For the 1990's..... There are only three years that CONECA/James Wiles consider Doubled Die Obverse's (DDO's)
