1926 Canada nickel, far or near 6?
Hello. I was going thru a little stash of coins, and i found this 1926 Canada nickel, and it says there are 2 different ones, a near, and a far date. To me, i dont know. i cant tell, the close date pictures look a lot closer than my coin, and not quite as far as the far date pics. Are there any other markers to look for on the nickels, to tell them apart? Would be pretty nice if it is a far date, but either way, near or far, im putting up properly so it stays the way it is. I think its in pretty good shape for almost 100 years old, what are your thoughts, far, or near? Im confused and all help appreciated,ScottYou do not have permission to view this gallery.

It is a Near 6...If you look at Numista for a good pic of the 2 designs, then blow them up with your pic blown up at about the same location... it is a match to the Near 6..... https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pie...0more%20scarce.CONECA Attributer: John Miller

Hello. there is a pic at numista, you say i will definitely check it out, as i have some coins and tokens that i registered with them, . i went to another canadian coin site but their pictures did nothing but confuse me even more! Thanks again, for helping me square away which one i have. Now, is it the rare one, those canadian cents and their sf/nsf and the A's on the 48 and 49s ican never tell which is the rare ones so i figured if i got 2 diff kinds i should have 1 of each of those pennys, but , the 53 nsf/sf 55sf/nsf the 48 and 49 A to the dentcle and between, , and i never can remember which is the rare ones, so if i see a pile of canadian pennies for sale i scarf them up and ive actually found a 1962 with the hanging 2 , but the nickels ihad no idea about till i found this one, and i like it! Than You for the help! Scott
