CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

    Luscinnia mispelling

    1994 Croatia 1 Kuna. Got this on on ebay from Croatia.

    LUSCINNIA is only supposed to have one "N".

    As far as my research shows 1994 was the first year of this design and the only year with the error. I am not certain when it was caught but it ran the whole production year that way. This design was only used on even numbered years so it was 1996 before you would have seen the corrected version.

      I have not even thought about looking for spelling errors on Foreign coins. Thanks for the heads up.. I have a ten pound bag I just picked up to go through yet.

        That is a neat error. If possible, I would like to use your images of this misspelling to error-ref.com. We do have a spot for this error type;

        Please contact me at errorref@aol.com if you are willing.

            Just a note. The coins are the same color. The lighting was just different. Obviously the 2010 was less circulated so it reflects the light differently also.
