CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    Hello all,
    For my first post I wanted to share my latest Ebay purchase. Allen 17.04b (1909 S/S/S Philippine Peso). This is the second one I've purchased off Ebay and the closest to a straight grade I have ever held in my hand. No signs of corrosion or harsh abrasive cleaning and quite a bit of luster left in the rims. At $25.99 (shipping included) I think this might be worthy of NGC certification. Any thoughts? Thanks for looking.

    Nice RPM.
    Personally, slabbing is not something I do, but I do know a lot of people like to do it. I think it would depend on your rationale for doing it and weigh that with the information you have given.
