1960 D sm/lg or lg/sm ???

Hello,
I need some help determining if this is the sm/lg date and maybe an EDS specimen? The date on this seems to be in better shape the the reference pics I’ve seen of MDS struck coins. The lighter struck D above the main MM north is not as visible and looks like it has company. I found this coin in a roll that had an MDS or LDS struck coin. The D to the north on that coin

In my opinion, this is a small date coin. It's not a large over small or small over large. The 6 and 0 ,especially the 0 would stand out.

As for an RPM, there were a few in the 1960D year that had D to the north of the primary mintmark. The 1960D year had well over 100 RPMs so it would take some one a good amount of time to find a match.

Thank you, sir. I suppose I was off on these as well. I have been referencing copper coins and variety vista and thought I had matches. I’ll keep at it and see what other RPM’s I find that are a match

Are those photos taken from a TV screen?
I think I see something from the last 3, but they get very fuzzy when I try to look at them closer.

The 6 can have up to three fingers at the near the highest point of the 6
The 0 should look like one 0 inside another 0.
Do you see this on your coin?

I downloaded that last photo but it was extremely small. typically a JPG photo can be a size close to 800x800 pixels and have no issues being uploaded to this site.


As for photo taking, I can suggest that photos be taken as follows:

IF you are using a phone:

Find a box, about 6x6 or 8x8.
Place the box on the table.
Place the coin on the table, close to the base of the box.
Place the phone on top of the box and turn on the camera app.
Carefully slide the phone toward the edge so the camera can see the coin.
Adjust the coin closer if need be.
You can zoom in, but do not make the photo blurry at all.
Make sure there is no glare on the coin, use a lamp vice flash from the phone.
With the phone on the top of the box, you can stabilize the phone with one hand.
Gently tap the shutter to take a photo.

Photos are best saved as JPG.
The photos on this website have to be less than 2mb each.
You should be able to upload 8 photos per post.
If more photos are needed, you can reply to your post and add more photos.

In the text area where you add a post, just to the top left , is a camera icon.
That will toggle on/off the upload buttons.
To upload photos, click on the UPLOAD ATTACHMENTS.

After you uploaded the photos, the list appears below the UPLOAD ATTACHMENTS button.
Click the area on your post where you'd like a photo to show, like below some text.
Then just below the UPLOAD ATTACHMENTS button choose a photo to place where you clicked.
Choose either LARGE or MEDIUM and the photo should appear in your post.
If you don't add it to the post, they should appear at the bottom of your post as attachments.

If you have a photo editing app on the phone, if need be, crop most of the background out of the photo.
You should be able to draw a box around the coin.
From there use the cropping tool to remove any unnecessary background.
The cropping tool can look like a bent square.

This is one of the 3 coins I followed up with and unfortunately these pics are off the screen of my scope. I tried to better my set up for the last 2 days. If this works out better I will follow with the other 2. I uploaded these as large files and made an effort in not blurring the photos.

Yes, these photos are better.
It does look like "Rpm 100" which is also a 1960-D small date over large date.
