CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

  • 1946 Lincoln Wheat Cent

I happened upon this 1946 Philly Cent a while back.
the Obverse: The coin is not in great shape and because of the strike through, only the 46 are really visible of the date. There does appear to be doubling at the “IN GOD”

the Reverse: there barely is a few details that can be made out , UNUM and portions of the wheat stalks. At first glance I thought someone had scratched most of details on this half of the coin with something. When looking at it under the scope, it seems like a strike through on a much more grand scale. How far off am I?

    PSD "Post Strike Damage"
That’s PSD “Post Strike Damage”, not an error. It did not come from the mint in that condition.
