CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    Morgan Dollar VAMs

    I just started collecting Morgan dollars. I picked up This is 1881–O Morgan dollar. Has what looks like a VAM3 and/or VAM6. “O” is to the left and tilted. Some doubling on the 18. Is it even worth having certified are these vans quite common and do not increase the value of the coin Thank you for looking and taking the time to respond

    since there are 6000+ vams, i'd recommend new players in this vam game to do it on vamworld as doing vams requires VERY specific and extensive knowledge.

    there is a guy that has a site dedicated JUST to 1881-O for instance.

    you did good with images though. obv/rev, date and mm are usually the 4 image minimum for vams especially.
