CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    2023D Tallchief Die Crack Variety With 2 Possible CUDs On Her

    I have searched Ebay, error sites and groups on Facebook, I can not find an example of this. There is a die crack that runs from the Eastern edge of the hoop diagonally up to Tallchief and stops. There is what appears to be 2 CUDs where the top of her leotard is. Hope everyone has a great day, and happy hunting!

    Not CUDS, Definition: A cud is a die break that involves the rim and at least a little bit of the adjacent field or design.

      JC, Thank you for your response, and the resource. I was under the impression that any extra metal on a coin was a CUD. Thank you for clearing that up for me.
