Lincoln RPMs Sorry, I wasn’t sure which forum
Happy Sunday, 1937-D wheat back I was looking at and I noticed this one looks like it has either a double or triple D. My eyes aren’t what they used to be so I put it under another scope and could still see it. Could someone please verify that I’m not seeing something I want to see that’s not really there? And if there is another way to verify the light D to the east of the double D please let me know. Thank you so much for taking the time to look, I appreciate all your help.Tags: None

For the 1937D the were just a handful of rpm's for that year and mintmark.
Several of them have the lesser rpm to the north.
In my opinion, I personally don't see much.
It kinda looks like some of the patina was eaten off the coin, and that might be the reason it looks like an rpm.
This coin could have been in the ground at one point. It has that pitted look on the obverse and reverse which typically indicates environmental damage. It will eat at the coin and distort the devices on the coin.
For rpm's it's important to note where the exact spot for the documented rpm is. Then, look at where the subject coins mintmark is located. If they are in the exact same spot, and it shows some similarities of the documented rpm then it may be one.
It will take a bit to see if one will line up, and then look like yours.
