    1977 D Jefferson Nickel

I found this 1977 D Jefferson Nickel. It is in great condition I think with filled "D" mint mark, maybe DDO on the "9" and also maybe a die break on "E" on the reverse side on the "United". Also the "United States of America" lettering seems to be a little thicker than usual. And the "N" and "I" seem to touch or fused together.

Let me know what you think.

this would usually go under the variety forum.

the filled D is a normal thing and no big deal afaik. the 9 has no doubling that i can see.don't see any obvious doubling on the reverse.

there may be a "chip" above the E, the image is not zoomed enough for me to be ceratin but you can look to see if it is listed in the "bar" section of variety vista, see the url in my signature.

look for doubled die obverse for jefferson nickels as well as doubled die reverse if you want to look that stuff up yourself for education.

Sometimes a d will suffer from a broken mintmark punch, just a little add on, My mind always flips a 64 sided coin when I think.
