    1957-D PMD with Lathe Lines??

Here is an interesting coin. The reverse shows some heavy late lines and the Obverse looks pretty normal - except around the rim area. I cannot tell of this is PMD and either a MAD or a partial collar. The rim non reeding side looks OK. There is a darker line traveling in the center.

    It weighs 3.17 grams.

i'd say it is suspicious. lathe lines normally don't go on top of devices since they are so weak most of the time they are usually obliterated and the obv looks like it was hammered/pressed somehow and the edge looks like it came out of a bezel or the like. too many red flags for me but you know some error experts, i'd run it by them to see if any of it is legit. thanks for the great images. makes assessments SOOOOO much easier/pleasant.

ok. i've thought about this some more and the conclusion i've come to is: this whole situation seems suspicious and i now wonder if this piece is what you use as a time traveler and it is a secret calling card (aka magical token/rune or something) to those in the know. obviously you cannot confirm this publicly, so if this is so, please feel free to PM me!
