    Post mint damage?

Can someone confirm the likely cause of this hole is post mint damage? 1938 S Jefferson. The coin is in reasonable shape except for the obvious. The hole kind of reminds me of a coin on the cover of "Mint Errors to Die for" so I'm posting it to double check.

The error I'm refering to is a ragged preforation or blow hole? While this does not exactly match the the description in the book (the hole doen not go through) I thought it worth pasting for comments.

It is Post Mint Damage. looking at the indention, notice the area bellow the U. you see metal that is higher then the field. this was damaged by something and the metal was displaced and pushed. You also see it to the left of the B, through the BUS.
