1804 1/2 cent with possible die rotation 2nd strike?
I have a 1804 1/2 cent C-13 with what looks to be a 2nd rotated die strike. There is a second die impression on the neck and bust line through the neck. Also there is an eyelid impression at the nose. I’d say about a 20’ rotation. The rim matches even with the die rotation. One of my pictures shows that I cutout a copy of the bust line and eyelid and it matches perfectly at a rotation. Just scratching my head to see if there may be any other examples out there like it. Any comments would be well received and totally appreciated. ThanksYou do not have permission to view this gallery.

In my opinion, it looks odd.
Some one would ha e to create an overlay of this coin and slightly rotate it to see if the second strike is a possibility. If design elements are pushed eastward one has to consider if it is too far, that "second strike" may push the coin off center.
Double strikes in collar could happen, but we need to see if anything stands out on the reverse. Some times a coin gets stuck in collar and if the obverse working die was loose, it could happen.
But again, anoverlay is useful to see just how far a coin can be pushed before it should go off center.
It could be clash related as well. The area around ERTY in Liberty looks odd too. It will take a bit to assess the coin. I am on a tablet. I will be back to the pc in a day or so and if the photos will let me do an overlay, I will attempt to provide results here, time permitting.
Its late, but I thought I would offer my opinion before some well needed rest.
