Having a bit of a hard time identifying which ddo this is. Others agree it is doubled however there is some question as to which ddo it is. Personally I think it looks like ddo-012 on variety vista. There is some question as to whether or not it actually is a sms strike,
what ddo is this coin the help would be appreciated!

Its vital to read the descriptions of the doubled die to narrow down the possibilities. It focuses the collector on the actual areas which have doubling. Some websites offer too many photos but offer an accurate description.

Using the doubling under the hair as a PUP, I see only three in the CONECA Listings that match your half dollar, DDO-012, DDO-015, and DDO-027. The -012, and 015 are SMS's, yours doesn't look like a SMS, yours looks like a BS. I would check out the DDO -027, looks like yours may match.
