CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

    Master List Question

Apologies and thanks for bearing with a likely misplaced post—no other section seemed a better fit for this question.

I am trying to locate the Master list for Barber dimes, including detailed listings and, ideally, images. It appears that the page I’m looking for does not exist, or I may be overlooking it. Could someone please point me in the right direction?

In my opinion, the Barber dimes section seems incomplete for the moment. CONECA is working on revamping the master list, almost starting from scratch. Its done by volunteers so a lot of work is done but more to come.

I personally dont have much info on the progress of this effort but, you can contact the member Jamez . Jamez is the CONECA president and he will have more info.

The CONECA website is at https://conecaonline.info
There is an incomplete link to barber dimes at the bottom.

A few potential, helpful online websites :

The website below looks like some one may have scanned in a portion of a book. I do not know if they had permission or not.

The link below appears to be an organization centered around Barber coinage. I am not familiar with how much info is on this site.

There may be other references out there.

Thank you, Gary. I agree that section appears incomplete. I knew there had been an effort to organize CONECA’s extensive image library and had hoped it would yield accessible listings and photos for Barber dimes. A few other references exist, but CONECA documents some varieties not found elsewhere—I know because coins I’ve previously submitted via Wexler’s site came back classified as specific CONECA varieties, though I’ve never been able to locate those listings myself.

For anyone else who comes across this post seeking Barber dime variety information: the Heritage link above is for Kevin Flynn’s book on Baber Dimes. The BCCS site also offers links under “Resources” to David Lawrence’s books on Barber dimes, quarters, and halves, plus a volume on Barber (Liberty) nickels.
