I was not able to find any errors, but the appearance of the quarter is different.

In my opinion, looks like environmental damage. It may have been exposed to the ground. The rim area has some nickel remaining on it.
The reverse photo is too blurry to coment on.

In my opinion, for quarters, Its going to be more copper colored. Weight is another key. Its uncommon for both sides to have clad layer missing.
Typically if it truly is missing clad layer on a quarter, the weight would be about 1 gram less per side. It really depends on the amount of clad missing.
On this coin, the reverse look uneven, sort of blotchy. I cannot tell if it residue on the reverse or not from the photo provided. See if the coin has tiny holes known as pitting. A tarnished, off color circulated coin will probably weigh close to the normal quarter weight of about 5.67 grams.
I suggest looking at some of the higher end auction houses (not ebay) and search for missing clad layer examples.
Heritage auctions, Great collections, Stacks-Bowers, are just a few out there that might have a number of examples for viewing.
