Anyone have an idea what caused these marks? The A in AMERICA and the U in UNITED also look strange? See pics attached

In my opinion, they could be clash marks. Three cent nickels have a reputation for clashes. It looks a tad weird though. Behind the head on the onbverse usually shows a column and i do not see it. Maybe its the position of the lighting thats throwing me off.
