CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    Question about Lincoln's

    Hello. I just have a question about a few Lincoln's I have. I probably have 7 or 8 of them that look like they have been sandblasted and I'm wondering how they got this way. They all also have more of a beige tint or color to them and are all this way on the Obverse and Reverse. Most are from the mid 1970's and a couple from 1983. Thanks.

    Hello, I also have several of these coins. I have an '78, '84, '85, '97. Also all are from the Denver Mint.

      Yes..... These are also all from the Denver mint. Im wondering if they missed a polishing process or possibly something under the lamination. I dont know what the actual process is.
