Help on early 1789 American Token

Found this in a local coin shop token and medal box. It weighs 6 grams, about the size of of a Morgan dollar, about a 10th the thickness of a Morgan, and looks to be some sort of metal. The dealer had no clue what is. The only thing was he had it for over 20 yrs. Looked online for information but cannot find anything. Can anyone point me in the right direction on getting this looked at, because I believe it is authentic. Thank you for the help.

This may be a medal of sorts to commemorate the Constitution going into effect or the inaugural date for the first president (Washington; even though it was in April that he did become president). It would have helped if the other side of this was legible.

Other than the historical significance of this date, I have very little else to offer.
