    New mexico Quarter Toning?

Attached are photos of a New Mexico quarter I found in a bank roll that did something curious. After picking out this quarter I placed it in a sonic jewelry cleaner with distilled water and disolved ivory bar soap overnight (not running). In the morning I turned on the sonic cleaner for about 30 minutes and when I took the coin out of the distilled water, it was curiously toned (rusted?). When I placed the coin in the distilled water it was not toned, just a little dirty. I have soaked a number of state quarters before with no "toning" occurring. What would cause this particular quarter to tone in this way after soaking in distilled water and ivory soap?
