    Stolen Coins Question

Heres my question, if someone sent me an email from ebay, stating that they found some coins in someone attic, that they were doing work for, and the workers took them, which really he stole them, would coneca have any responsibility to report this back to ebay ..

I would think the primary responsibility lay with the recipient of the e-mail. And the report would ideally be sent to the local police department.

Why would it be any responsibility of CONECA? I agree with Mike. You forwarding information to any second party would become hearsay information.

I was just wondering, just goes to show what stupid thieves will do to sell things, and the coin is a 1851-D, 2 and a half dollar liberty head, this thread was posted on cointalk, https://www.cointalk.com/threads/tho.../#post-2113105 even states the person took them from an attic he was working in, I believe the homeowner doesn't even know they were there ...

I guess I am totally confused. It was posted on Cointalk and you think CONECA should get involved? May I ask why you think this way?

No Jim, not at all, I wouldn't except coneca to get involved, I was wondering if something ever came up like this on coneca forums, what the owners of this site would think ?? Its already stating the coins were taken from a worker ..

Well, first I would take it with a grain of salt. How many times have you heard Unsearched roll, Estate Sale etc.. Take what is written with a grain of salt, from an unknown ebay seller to an unknown ebay buyer? I think the whole thing is a Troll having fun with you all over there. Just my opinion.
