CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    New shield Nickel variety 1868/68 rev.

    Wanted to start off with my recent find. I love Shield nickels as if you want more bang for your buck variety hunting these will full fill your needs. I probably have more early shields 1866- 69 then other dates! The reason being they are fairly cheap and produce a lot of cool finds.
    My new find was just listed by Howard Spindle at Shield nickels.net . He confirmed my new find an 1868 rev of 68 . It's very similar to the existing S2 - 3006 but he engraved leaf is different . The new listing number in the data base is S2-3011, and is the twelve for the 68/68.
    I will post some images as soon as I can log on my main computer .
