CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    Just wanted to say hi to all members here. I'm Paddy54 a member at coin talk as well as numissociety . Hunting errors and cherry pickin are one of my favorite pass times. I've been in the hobby since 7 years old. Right now my interest are shield nickels and type coin varieties . However I did find a 1964 P Roosevelt hot lip dime that has been sent in for attribution along with another 1955 s that seems to be a misplaced mint mark,as well as an mm used on Lincoln cents not dimes.

    I also just got the credit for a new shield nickel variety find . The new attribution is S2 -30 11 an 1868 reverse of 68 . Many thanks to Howard Spindle at Shield nickels.net.
