CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

Well it's 2020. Amidst a very complicated condition across the world, the Virginia Numismatic Association (VNA) is considering hosting the VNA coin convention in late September. Set up for vendors/dealers is Thursday September 24th 2020. The show is open to the public Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The final meeting for the VNA will happen around August 18th for the board members to decide whether to hold the VNA convention. As it stands, the city of Fredericksburg, VA has limited restrictions from a Type 3 restriction down to a Type 2. That means the show can go on, as long as it doesn't escalate up to a type 3 again. There may be some restrictions on the number of people who can attend, or the amount of people allowed in the convention at one time. We plan on being ready for this show. There may be an additional influx of collectors hitting this show, since many others have been cancelled. All we can do is hope for the best, and make the VNA show a success. Visit http://www.vnaonline.org for more information.
