CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

why doesnt this forum have more sub categories?

be nice if there was an Classifieds section where members could buy, sell, and trade their errors.

im know im new but its just some things on my mind at the moment.

We find the existing subcategories to be quite satisfactory. A buy-sell-trade area is something we're contemplating.

While I do think it is a feasible idea, there are problems associated with such. Mostly it has to do with monitoring what is for sale and the liability for such items.

What would be a nice first step, would be to have well established, nation wide dealers post and see how that goes. If that seemed successful, then further dealers could / would be allowed to post. However, to have just anyone put on any type coin would be disastrous and akin to the problems that Ebay has. We rae in no position to deal with that.

That's fine, as long as you don't link to your auctions or explicitly promote your auctions. We don't allow promotional messages on our site.

well i don't know the direct link between ebay error buyers and this site because i have seen people pay very high prices for minor errors and others that werent anything at all but damage. i would think that the more people who really got on this site and was a regular, that maybe it would filter out the junk coins on ebay for lack of sales, it would be my hope that it would clean it up
