  • 1965 Washington Quarter

    Hi

This is my first post after lurking for a while as a guest. I would really appreciate some thoughts on this 1965 Washington Quarter. I have compared it too all the 1965 quarter errors I could find but have not found another example picture that looks the same. I compared it to a 1965 SMS version and that version did not have the extra line in front of the eye and eye brow.

Image was captured using an Amscope Microscope and Amscope 14MP camera.

    Regards, Eric

    Welcome to the forum!
That type of isolated doubling is typically machine doubling. For whatever reason, I feel we see it a little more often in the 1960s on all denominations.
